The Texas Permanency Outcomes Project (TXPOP) refocuses common practice, strengthens the workforce and transforms how systems treat families within foster care. The goal of TXPOP is to build shared power with children and families to reinvent foster care. Creating authentic relationships between all parties involved in child welfare will improve permanency outcomes and strengthen families. This means strengthening connections between youth and:
- Their families
- Others who are naturally connected to them
- Foster families
- Kinship caregivers
- Case workers
- Supervisors
- Judges
- Attorneys
- Specialty court staff
